WTF?!?!?!

So I had my beta this morning at 8:00 a.m.  I got to work at about 8:30 and checked my phone in between every lesson.  No call, no call, no call.  Finally at 4:00 p.m.  the nurse calls me.  The conversation went like this:

"Your hcg was negative.  However, your progesterone is considerably high indicating a possible early pregnancy.  The doctor said it may be a slow developing pregnancy and too early to detect the hcg.  Come back for another beta in two days."

WTF?!?!  Like I haven't been through enough torture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I mean I've never even heard of this.  Instantly, I thought well duh my progesterone is high, I'm on progesterone injections.  But apparently, my progesterone is higher than what it should be while on injections.  Still no AF, so what's a girl to do?  I really just was hoping for a clear cut answer.  Now the torture continues and I have to go another two days.  My gut is telling me this cycle was  a bust - I mean even if it were a slow developing pregnancy - wouldn't you think there would be at least a lil bit of detectable hcg???

Is it bad that I still have a glimmer of hope?

Wow...I've never heard of anything like that. I'm sorry :o( That just sucks that there isn't a clear cut answer, and you have to keep waiting. Do something good for yourself tonight. I am still hopeful that the doctor is right!

There is most definitely still hope!!!! I'm sorry it's dragging on even longer when the wait has been so hard as it is, but please don't give up!!! Your Dr still has faith, so hold on to that!!!

P.S. Love your new blog look!

Oh man, just to ADD to things, huh??? What was your progesterone at??? I'm on PIO injections and suppositories and my progesterone is 20 and I'm pregnant. Just to give you an idea. I've heard that progesterone is actually the hormone that more definitely determines a pregnancy, and in fact, is even more reliable in determining multiples than hCG because hCG varies so much with no rhyme or reason. I'm holding out hope for you, girl. I really, really am crossing everything I've got for you!!! It's going to be a long two days for you. :( Prayers and hugs!

So sorry that you didn't get a clear cut answer today but I'm really hoping your doctor's instincts are correct! I will be thinking about you over the next few days...

You've been through enough already is right!!! We have to still hold on to hope, whoever said that is correct. I do know, that I have heard of this before, actually a few times although I wish I could remember the outcome, but don't recommend researching with Dr. Google because who knows what you will find. I do also know that with the PIO AF won't come on her own... Hang in there, stay strong and I will pray for good news on Friday!! It's possible you just had a late implantation!
